This has been a day of losses. First I heard that someone I have known since 2004 died on Christmas day. Far too soon – she was a number of years younger than I am, a very talented writer who managed to keep her blog up to date until a few days ago. RIP Mary Smith – you will be missed by many who loved you and admired your work, your sense of humour and your friendship.
Later this evening I realised that I couldn’t leave a comment on Mary’s blog as I had lost my WordPress password. Some hours later I have managed to reset my password and I hope that this post will appear on my blog. Passwords are the bane of my life and I know that I’m not alone in this respect. Even with software like Last Pass I still manage to come unstuck.
